Justice Dina Yehia

The Honourable Justice Dina Yehia was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 23 June 2022, the first of Greek Egyptian descent. Her Honour graduated from the University of NSW with a Bachelor of Arts and Law in 1989, working as a solicitor at the Western Aboriginal Legal Service for seven years. Her Honour also graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in International Criminal Law in 2011. In 1999, her Honour was called to the bar and spent 14 years as a Public Defender, taking silk in 2009 and becoming the first female Deputy Senior Public Defender in 2013. Her Honour was appointed a Judge of the District Court in May 2014.
