Justice Hayley Bennett

The Honourable Justice Hayley Bennett was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 1 July 2025. Her Honour was admitted to the NSW Bar in 2009 and appointed Senior Counsel in 2024. She has been recognised as a leading practitioner in trusts and estates, and health and aged care law. Her Honour holds a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws with first class honours from UNSW. Over her time as a barrister, she has variously held honorary and adjunct academic roles at Neuroscience Research Australia and the University of Sydney Law School and continues to contribute to education and research at the intersection of law and neuroscience.
